ALEXIA PARKS

Alexia Parks, is author of An American GULAG, Secret P.O.W. Camps for Teens. Her book has been selected as a television motion picture for release Fall 2000.

Ms Parks, formerly wrote for the national desk of The Washington Post, and was Director of Communications for the Metropolitan Sunday Newspaper Association, based in New York City. She is currently president of an Internet company, Votelink.com. Votelink.com promotes online voting, online conferences and public hearings. Because of her pioneering work in this area, she was named "one of 50 people who matter most on the Internet," by Newsweek Magazine.

As an advocate for children’s rights, expert, and skilled speaker, Ms. Parks has spent the past 18 months helping to raise public awareness about the need to protect the civil and human rights of teens sent to GULAG schools and camps. In this role, she has become the "Dear Abby" for desperate parents and teen survivors, who contact her daily through her TeenLiberty.org website. http://www.teenliberty.org
